Workshop on Digital Factory

Jakarta, August 7, 2025 – In collaboration with Synnex Metrodata Indonesia, Autodesk, and Pusat Industri Digital Indonesia 4.0 (PIDI 4.0), a workshop on Digital Factory was successfully held to accelerate digital transformation in Indonesia’s manufacturing sector.

During the opening session, the critical role of digital transformation in the era of artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainability was emphasized. As Indonesia’s largest technology distributor, Synnex Metrodata showcased co-innovation initiatives designed to help local industries adopt advanced digital solutions.

One highlighted initiative was the APCO Digital Twin solution, aimed at enhancing plant facility management as well as carbon accounting and monitoring. This innovation supports manufacturers in complying with ESG reporting standards, especially for exports to markets with strict sustainability requirements.

Another initiative introduced was the provision of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) as a service, powered by Autodesk’s technologies, enabling simulation-driven design and engineering optimization.

The workshop also featured keynotes from government and industry leaders. Mr. Ahmad Cahyo, Chairman of the Delivery & Capability Pillar Team, underlined the government’s strong commitment to driving digital transformation under the Industry 4.0 roadmap. Meanwhile, Ms. Nila Kumalasari, ST, MT, Acting Head of the Industrial HR Training Center and Director of PIDI 4.0, expressed full support for the initiative, reinforcing the government’s role in workforce readiness and digital adoption.

Adding an industry perspective, Mr. Ali Hamzah from Autodesk shared insights on how Autodesk’s platforms serve as a foundation for the Digital Factory journey, empowering companies to embrace innovation and efficiency.

The organizers extended their appreciation to Mr. Cahyo and Ms. Nila Kumalasari for their support, noting that such collaboration between government, industry, and technology providers is essential for building a sustainable and competitive future.

The workshop closed with a shared hope that these efforts will foster ongoing innovation, collaboration, and sustainability as Indonesia moves toward its vision for 2045.
